Common questions
- ⌘C copied the wrong thing.
- Shouldn't be possible — ⌘C always copies the flattened image, never the selection. If it did otherwise, that's a serious bug. Tell me.
- macOS won't let Knitch capture the screen.
- System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, enable Knitch. You may need to restart it after.
- Can I reopen a saved Knitch image and keep editing the annotations?
- Yes. Knitch PNGs round-trip, so annotations come back editable.
- Why does this exist when screenshot tools already exist?
- None of them did the four-second loop without asking me a question first. That's the whole origin story.
- When can I get it?
- Not released yet, though I use it daily. Email me if you want a nudge when it is.
